Help me pull the trigger!

Don't take that literally, I mean on getting my set-up. After a long cold winter & nice tax return, I'm getting my 05 Screw some much needed new shoes. *Daily driver w/ new baby on board 50% FYI. XD wheels are a lock & ordered but need advice on tires & leveling kit.
Final tally:
XD Addicts 18x9
Hankook
33" tires
2" Leveling kit

Accidental Discharge on that first post there!
I am now stuck between:
Toyo Open Country AT &
Hankook ATM
Opinion & other suggestions welcome! Plus I still need to get the 2" leveling kit!
* this forum has helped a ton & narrowed the search this far, just need that final bump!

Autospring leveling kit
A guy at work has bought the hankooks twice and loves his. Toyo is pretty much hands down around here. Im sure you would be happy with either one., just have to decide if you want to save a little money or not.

I agree here. Two other things to consider, you mentioned winter...get the powder coated autospring kit so rust is not an issue. Since you are looking for A/T tires have you considered the BFG AT KO? IMO that is one of the best AT tires ever made.

I had the BFG's on my 99 & asked about them but every place said they were too soft & recommended these instead. They're both around $230, so price is similar.

Are those places selling BFGs? Many people on here say they can get 60K miles easy out of their BFGs at proper air pressure.

x2, I know for a fact that is a true statement. At basically the same price I would go with the BFG's hands down.

Im in the same position. I talked to a guy at belle tire and they said with a 2" lift we could fit 315s on. Im looking at the bfg's too however I cannot find the tire with an 18" rim opening

I have zero regrets on my decision to get bilstein 5100's instead of a spacer. I recommend. Read negatives about spacers (true or not might be another matter of opinion), and their affects down the road...... Took the do it once, do it right approach.

You got me on tire choice, although I'm leaning towards the Nitto Trail Grapplers. I still run stock.

33's look nice do it lol

SAWMAN556 03-10-2011 11:14 AM

A couple of other good options to consider- Nitto Terra Grapplers and HBS 2" billet aluminum level kit.

Ok, update! Love the look of the Hankooks but going to see what the Toyo ATS' look like. Pics are all different. I'm hoping to also try & swing a deal for the BFG's. Call me old school but still love the OWL & aggresive look. Also Readylify leveling kit may be the direction I go in that AO.

If you are looking to run a tire that not a lot of people are running, take a look at the Goodyear MTR Kevlars. I have them in a 305x70x17. The specs are 34.1, installed they measure like 33.75. I love them & specifically wanted a white letter to match my white truck.

mazeone 03-12-2011 06:37 PM

Ordered: XD Addicts 18x9,
BFG's 285/65/18
Readylift 2" leveler
*should be here & installed by midweek

mdhawkin 03-12-2011 07:29 PM

Good call on the wheels and tires, but curious why you went with the ready lift, they are overpriced IMO.
