Thoughts????
I've searched these forums alot and still haven't been able to find all the answers to my questions.
I have a 2006 screw 4x4. Currently, I have 305/55/20 Toyo open country A/T on the stock wheels, which were alright but I was not really impressed with them off road. They also rub slightly at full lock, which I knew. Anyway, it's time to replace the tires so I'm trying to decide on keeping the same size or changing. I noticed some guys here were suggesting 295/60/20 and 275/65/20. Would they rub or cause problems since my truck is not lifted or leveled? Any thoughts and/or suggestions for tires would be appreciated.:beers: |
Try a 275/60/20 they are the same width as the stockers but are taller, same height as your 305/55's are now. Actually the 275/60 is the stock size on dodges with the 20" wheel so more tire choices are available, such as an all season or a M&S type tire.

I would stay with the size you have. The Toyo AT is an excellent al terrian tire. If you need more performance off road you may want to consider a mud tire. The Toyo MT and Nitto Trail Grappler will be the closest to an AT tire's performance on pavement. But with a MT you may have to go to a tire slightly narrower than your 305/55-20 (33x12.50).

Thanks for the info so far guys. If I switch to the MT, what size would you recommend since i should go a little narrower.

Look at Toyo and Nitto's websites and see what they have available in 33's for 20 inch wheels.
