Toyo's or Nitto's -33's
Looking to hear from people who have tried them out. Looking for the Open Country vs the Nitto grapplers. Concerned about road noise and wear. I will be putting them on a 2010 F150 Fx4 with 20 inch rims and will be pulling a small travel trailer form time to time.
Thanks! J |
I've had a couple sets of Toyo m/t's on trucks and can say I was never unhappy. The noise is very low, wear is great with rotation, and ride was nice. I pull a 25 foot performance boat and they did fine.

You didn't say which model you were looking at. The Tera Grappler and Open Country AT are basically the same tire. Toyo manufacturers both.
|
get nittos...are you talking mts and mud graps or the ats?
|
I really am very pleased with the Toyo Open Country M/Ts... It's a great choice...

I could not be happier with my Nitto Tera Grapplers. I have not had any problems with them and have ran them for three years. I also pull a 29' travel trailer and have had no problems with the tires.

Up here (Canada) the Nitto's are a few hundred cheaper than the Toyo's, And most tire places have deals on the Nitto's and have to special order the Toyo's.
I just want to make sure the cab doesn't vibrate as we travel down the road. Im trying to convince the wife. |

I have the Toyo Open Country AT's and I am very satisfied with them. They ride very smooth on the interstate and are wearing very even. Very little weight to balance them. Little more expensive than the Nitto's, but I am satisfied with end results.

Although they are both manufactured by the same company, the open country AT and terra grappler AT are not the same tire. Their tread patterns are completely different - I would choose the toyo's over the TGs just for that reason only. I'm not fond of the look of the nittos, with the lightning-bolt looking design that goes into the sidewall.
That said, I've heard they both should last quite a while. MT's I'm not familiar with, but have heard only good things about the Toyo MTs. |
nitto mud graps....stay with nitto
