Best reviews in 305/50-20 what's recomended

Looking for some good 305/50-20 tires . any brands that you like or dis-like let me know. what i'm looking for is a good street tire that i can also tow without any problems. we don't get any snow in texas so i'm not worried about that lol !!! I read that bluejay dislikes his falken's and that's what i was looking at so maybe not !! any others i should avoid:help:

That is interesting Wandell. I hate mine. I love how they look, but the wet traction is terrible. Actually dangerous.

I am looking at Toyo ST ll. Either those or maybe Goodyear Eagles.

Which Eagle are you considering? I've read some bad review on the old Eagle GT II.

Yes, that is the one I was quoted. I am really leanint toward the Toyos. Have you heard anything on them? Not the ST, but the ST ll.

I have often wondered if my traction problem with the Falken Ziex STZ 04 has more to do with them being so wide. I have to feather the throttle from a red light if it is raining, and I am very caustious at speed around curves. I took of Michelins that were great in wet conditions, so it was quite an adjustment.

I don't think I've ever seen a bad review on a Toyo tire.

Sounds as if that may be the one I go with, then. They are at a small local tire store. I would like to do business with them.

i'm waiting to hear more about the nitto trail grapplers. since toyo owns nitto i can see a big similarity to the toyo MT's. hopefully the TrG's prices won't be as high as the toyo's.

so bluejay would you recommend going smaller than 305 or would that look funny

If you looking for street tires I have to HIGHLY recommend the Nitto NT420S. This tire is phenomenal! I can only break them loose in a turn in the rain. Other than that they are stuck like glue. I have them in 305/40/22. I give them like 6 thumbs up.

No, I'm not convinced that the width is the problem. I am going with 305/50/20s again, on Friday.

I have Nitto Terra Grapplers 305/55/20's on my truck and they are o.k. As for a street tire, I put some Yokohama Parada Spec-X 305/50/20's on my wifes Armada. Yes, I know its a Nissan but it's my wifes not mine. Anyway, the Yokohamas are excellent. Better than those crappy Continentals they came with. I push them to see what they can really do in dry and wet conditions and I am impressed. They even handle the little bit of ice that we get up here very well. They don't look to bad either. Also, I've never heard anything bad about the Toyos either.

Can you guys post pics of this size. I have seen some on Blue Jay's truck and like the stance.

Bluejay Sep 30, 2009 11:15 PM

Went by the tire shop to see the tires I am getting put on Friday. They are a very good looking tire. Hope they pan out as good as they look. Toyo ST II, 305/50/20. The tread is very unique.
