Bfg at ko psi

I just installed 33x18. The side of the tire says 80 psi cold. I checked the psi from national tire and battery and they inflated the tires to 40 psi. My question is, should i inflate them to 80 psi or is that to high?

i run mine at 42psi

Those are a LR E. 80 is way too high. Run them at around 50, do not go below 46. That is where a TPMS would be set to turn the light on is it was OEM.

Thanks for the info guys!

I've always ran 40 psi in mine for daily driving.

The psi number on the side of the tire is the max beading inflation, never ride a tire that hard unless specific load range and vehicle.

40 psi in mine year round

At 40, those tires can not handle the weight carrying rating of your axles, which is 4000lbs.

40 is the best to run them at. Decent economy and a smoothish ride.

x2 once you get above 50 the smooth ride starts feeling like you are riding in a log truck.

I run my 285/65/20s between 45 and 50.

Tires are rated at 3600 lbs at 80. 40 would be at best half that or 1800 lbs. Axles are rated at 4000lbs.
