33's ??

Does a 1998 f150 with the 4x4 offroad pkg already sit a little higher? If so can i run 33s or will i have to get a 3in body lift first? Also what are some good wheel/tires. The truck will be mostly on road, but still would like to have the rugged tire look. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

I really don't think they sit higher they just have more skid plates, thats what me truck is. I'm running 33's on 10 inch wide wheels with the torsion bars turned and the bumper slightly trimmed.

I believe your truck has the torsion bar setup underneath(no front coils springs). Some people prefer not to mess with them but cranking them a little bit isn't going to hurt the truck, It's free and it looks a whole lot better than a body lift. Unless you like the look of the frame sitting lower than the body. Doing this should easily clear a 33" tire. Someone else will chime in on this.

For a good looking tire, On/Off road tire, I personally like the BFG A/T's And in 33 inches, they would look great on your truck. They provide a quiet ride on the road and very respectful performance off road. Not to mention they seem to last long time, even under harsh conditions.

For wheels, your really going to have to do your own shopping around, what color is your truck? If your going to be mostly on the road, then buying something a little fancy wont hurt in the long run. Good luck!

Got 33's on a 4x2 so I know a 4X4 should have no problem.

Right, you can easily fit 33's.
