Yet another "willl it fit" question. =/
Alright so I hate to be yet another one of those "will it fit" people but I have to ask to make sure. It's funny how I've managed to get through Physics and multi-variable calculus but I can't quite wrap my head around wheel fitment.
I'm looking at a 22x9.5 wheel with 5.25" backspacing wrapped in some 37x13.50 Toyo M/Ts. My truck is a 2006 F150 4x4 and has a 6" Full Traction suspension lift with 2" of cranked coilovers and AAL. Before the coilovers, my 35s ran with absolutely no rubbing. A picture of my truck can be seen below in my sig. I'm fairly certain that it'll work with out trimming but to be completely honest, I'd feel a lot better asking and being sure than just going with it. Thanks guys, Indo |
That would be really tight. I think the problem will be the 13.50 inch width of the tire and the 9.5 inch width of the wheel. I think you would be better off with a 12.50 or 13.00 inch wide tire and a 9 inch wide wheel. How much room do you have now? What are the specs on the wheel and tires you are running now?

Yay! wandell's here!
The tires I have now are 35x12.5 and I believe that the wheels are 18x10 with 5" BS (not 100% sure but that's the one with the most neg offset and mine do stick out quite a bit). glcash is running 6" of lift and 2" spacer with XD Hosses and they're 22x9.5 with 0 offset (same specs as the ones I'm looking at). He said the only trimming he had to do was the plastic valance and that it only rubs at full lock. What do you think, all mighty wheel master? :bows: |
i think you will be fine, guys are running those tires on 20x10 and trimming the valance. you should be good with those wheels. gonna look titz!

EDIT: Really? A curse word sensor? haha |
yea they don't know, half of those shops are run by counterfeits. now if you wanted to run 22x11 i would say you would run, but highon22's is running 37's on 22's and he has a 6 pro comp and 2.5 leveling kit, you'll be fine, he has enough room, check out his album

I've seen his before but I think he's running Kumhos and they advertise 13.5 width but they're actually 12.5.
|
true, but he's running a 11 wide rim and your going with a 9.5 wide wheel, i wouldn't worry about it
|
If you are fine now with 10's, you should be ok with the new setup.
|
Okay thanks guys.

From sidewall to sidewall my tires measure 13.5, but the actuall tire tread is around 13". You should be find though b/c the only reason mine are a little close to rubbing (1 1/2" closest point) is b/c of how wide my wheel is and the offset. Your wheel should stick in a little more then mine so that'll eliminate that. Your front valence may have to be trimmed.
