Brakes

My 2000 f150 I’ve replaced calipers, brackets, pins & pads when Im tightening the caliper bolts to the pins the pins bind up in the bracket and will not move in and out until loosen on the bolt I’m not sure what going on is there suppose to be a shims between the pin & the caliper ?

Does not sound normal on new calipers and parts.

Did you grease the slide pins?

If you take the caliper off and install the bracket onto the caliper with the slide pins, does the bracket slide back and forth easily with the slide pins snugged up?

If not, then I suggest returning and replacing the parts.

If it does, then I am going to say it's an alignment issue when installing onto the vehicle with interference from the rotor and not being true.
