question about 35's
Currently I have 305/65/18's and 18x9 rims that have +25 mm offset(which is close to 6 inch of backspacing, I believe. No rubbing
From what I understand about all the talk about rims and such is that I will need a say 6" lift to put 35's on because they will rub right? Where exactly would they rub at. I guess if I had narrower rims or maybe the same width that I currently have but less backspacing(numerically) then 35's would fit. |
Your tires are approximately 34x12.50's. You should be able to judge where and inch taller tire would rub. Do you have any lift?

If you have no rubbing at all now, you may fit them. Just take a close look at your truck and see where the potential rubbing may occur.

Thanks for your help. I actually had a little rubbing, when I would pull my truck perpendicular to the street to back in to driveway; with the stock fx4 rims but have not had such rubbing with these new 18x9 rims.
When the time comes I will go back to discount tire and see how 35's fit they are good about these kind of situations. |
