bfg at's...white letters on black rims?
anybody have pics of bfg at's on black wheels with the white letters showing? im putting these tires on american racing teflon thugs on a dark blue fx4. what do you guys think?
|
Always go with the black letters out.
|
I agree with wandell.
|
Go with what you like but IMHO BFG's with the white letters turned in just look like another tire (until you're up close enough to see them) but with their signature bold raised white lettering out you can't mistake them for anything else, it's all BFG :beers:. Only company that does white lettering right

I was planning on running mine black out once i get them installed, but damn if you dont make a good point silver lol....ughh being indecisive is my curse!!!!

White letters out, looks sharp.....
|
It does looks sharp with white letters out, but i'm thinking it takes away from the wheels just a bit.
|
Hmmm....
I've always had a strong preference for black wall out, regardless of the vehicle color, the rim color, street look, or off road.
Also, I'd think those white letters would be a pain to keep nice and "bright white"..... so even if I liked the white letters out, they would have to be really clean and bright, to look good. My truck already gives me enough work to keep clean, as it is. Peace, Fish |
I really think on an off road tire the white wall out looks much better, on a lowered truck or lower profile tire I leave it to the inside.
You paid alot for that BFG name, don't be afraid to show it off! |
Why pay all that money for good tires and have them black out? On trucks, SUVs and hotrods I would always put the raised white letters out if I shelled out for good tires.
|
Id go black letters out, cant wait ti get rid of my pirelli's and white letters

Doing a search about this brings up many threads, this is definetly a subject with no clear answer. A lot of people like black out, a lot of people like white out. It seems to all comes down to personal preference (as many things do). I have decided to try black out with my BFG AT's. My truck is dark shadow grey and my wheels are black, so i figure it should look pretty good (pics soon).
I still think white out would look good too, but as far as putting white out just because the tires are expensive doesnt really make sense to me personally. I didnt pay the high price for the white letters, but to each his own.:beers: |
BFG does have the nicest lettering if you like the white out. My tires are black on both sides so I had no choice! Black out is definitly easier to keep clean.
