Just replaced the rear brakes on my 04 2wd screw at 45,000 miles. Fronts are still original and the pads have a ways to go before they'll need replacing.

On the other hand, I still had the original pads and rotors on the back of my 01 Screw when I sold it at 90,000. I replaced the front at 35,000 because the rotors were bad. That was very with little towing, and very little freeway, mostly stop an go city.

I havent heard of rear ever wearing before front, however ford may have it set up that way to increase towing/braking ability...? Maybe the truck nose dives real easy if the fronts grab to quick or to much?
