What size tires?

As I mentioned in a earlier post, I have a 2005 Screw, 5.4, 4WD. I've purchased a PA 3" body lift and gap guards. I've decided to go with Nitto Terra Grapplers, but I'm unsure how big to go with the stock 17" wheels. Is a LT285/70R/17 (11.5") as big as I can go or can I go up to a LT295/70R/17 (12.13") or LT305/70r/17 (12.36")? I was worried about getting the truck in to my garage, but now I'm thinking I better just go with bigger tires.

Also, How bad will this upgrade hurt my mpg? I’m getting around 16mpg now.

I'd love to see some pick of newer F150's with PA 3" body lifts.

THANKS!

Any of those tires will work but id stay with the 285 or 295 on stock wheels so you dont have to worry about crowning at all.

And you might loose alittle power and a few MPG but not much,

With 3 inches of lift, I'd go with at least a 305/70/17. Anything smaller will probably look too small.

A 305/70-17 is essentially a 34x12.50 tire while a 295/70-17 is basically a 34x12.00 tire so the difference would be minimal. I'd go with the 305's or 295's.

Thanks for the help! I'm going to go with 305's as long as my local shop is cool with mounting them. I'll be sure to get before and after pics on here. It will be a few weeks before it is done.

Ought to look great, you can probably squeeze on some 315's also.
