Bendix shoes/pads ..

go to my local Advanced Auto store and the parts man (good guy) tells me that buying Bendix shoes or pads when worn out bring in with reciet and you'll get the second set "FREE".
I say you have to bring in the worn shoes/pads first? He says "no" you can buy the second set first then bring in the worn out ones after installing the new shoes and with your receit get a full refund to your credit card.
Sounds like a good deal.

Anyone do this already?

No, but I'll try it when the Bendix pads on my Screw need replacing.

I would say it's a good deal, Bendix has been a trusted name for God knows how long.

Just curious. your truck being a 2005. and I figured you did not replace your pads when it was new. most people wait at least a year. That would make those bendix brakes not vary old to be worn down to metal. Sounds like these brakes have a short life. I have been thinking about getting some new brakes soon. not sure which brand to get though. I am thinking of going the ceramic pad route though. Dose any one know the down side of ceramic pads.
