Will 35's Fit

I have an 04 fx4 screw and i am putting a 2.5" leveling kit on and i was wondering whether i should run 35's and 22's or 33's and 20's. The wheels i want to run are american racing black clash and either toyo m/t or mickey thompson baja atz or for the 22's i will run kuhmos. Can i fit 35's. I had 33's and 20's on my other 04 fx4 and i want to go bigger with my new truck.
Does anyone have any pics of 35's with a leveling kit??

ur not gonna be able to run 35's and 22's :(

With only a leveling kit, you can only fit 35's on stock rims. Aftermarket rims=max 33"

Right, unless the aftermarket wheels are almost identical to the oem wheel specs. PawPaw has fit 35's using a 8 inch wide wheel with 5.5 inches of backspacing. As for size, I'd go with 20's for a 35 inch tire.

What about with a 3" leveling kit?? 20's just arent big enough on 35's.

THe CV and ball joint angles get pretty extreme with a 2.5 inch kit. I wouldn't even consider a 3 inch kit. If you like the look of 35's on 22's, by all means go for it. It's your truck and your opinion is what matters. My wifes family thinks my Expy looks crazy with 22's, but what do they know. The drive minivans and mount white letter tires on everything (yep, even a minivan once).
The wheel diameter doesn't matter with fitment, its the with and backspacing. If you can find a 22x8 wheel with 5.5 or 6 inches of backspacing you will be fine with 35x12.50-22's.

Not only is Wandell [just about] always right, but I agree with his views almost always.

The 20" wheel & 35" tire combo is a winner in just about every way.

This is a great post, I am looking at doing 35 Mud Grapplers on 20's. I am considering doing a 3" body lift though to give me that extra piece of mind. The only issue is the kit is 300 but 700 to install (4 wheel parts). I dont know how hard it would be to install on an 04 SCrew so i am kind of at thier mercy.

Sorry, not trying to hijack this thread (but it is just really a reiteration of the OP's question anyways), but this had been my question for ages and I have received both "Yes, you can" & "No you can't" answers. Can you run a 35" tire on '07 SCrew 4x4 that just has a 2.5" leveling kit w/out rubbing or having to cut? It seems as tho our fellow member below (05extcabflare) has done this, so can someone please give me to the best of their knowledge a definitive answer. I would like my next set to have 35" tires w/either 18 or 20" rims and I don't want to lift my truck at this time...

Please chime in...thanks!! :bows: :rocker:

P.S.
05extcabflare your truck and wheel/tire combo looks badazz by the way!!
