I need to order another KM2 but I was and am a little short on cash so it is waiting till summer:thumbsup: Right now if I get a flat I am putting the spare on the front and driving super slow. Sucks but I am only going to be driving the truck a little while longer without a full size spare. It is certainly on my list though!

Fug it... If you get a flat, use your stock spare to limp to a tire shop. If you get a flat on the rear, switch it with a tire on the front so the spare tire is always on the front. You don't want to run a smaller spare on the rear.

Also, a good idea if you do want a full size spare, is to hit up a tire shop and ask them if they have any used 35's they are pitching. I am pretty sure a 35 will still fit in the spare tire holder under the bed, at least on the 97-03s, but I could be wrong. My Uncle owns a tire shop so he's keeping an eye open for me on a used spare. Until then, that's my gameplan if I get a flat with one of my 35's...

I mounted a used, almost bald 315/75-16 as a spare.

Will a 35" or even a 33" tire fit under the truck if it is a 2007 Screw?

I've been meaning to ask you, since our trucks are almost the same, will a 315/75/17 fit in the spare tire holder under the bed. I would assume it will but I want to do the same thing (just get a used cheap or free 35 but mount it on my 17" OEM spare rim)... ACtually, I never thought about it, is the OEM spare rim for our trucks a 16" or 17"? Did you have to do anything special or just throw the tire on and mount it up underneath.

Thanks man. :bows:

I ordered my 35" BFG KM2s last week and said screw it. I didnt order a spare but Im hoping they will be here today or tomorrow so I can get them put on. I've had good luck knock on wood with tires in the past. Ive had 35s, 39.5s, 33s, 36s, 315s, 37s, and 36s and only one flat tire and that was a 36x13.50R20 on an F250. Didn't even know it until I got home. The only time I've ever had a full size spare was when I bought the 37s from a customer of ours, and they were practically brand new 37x12.5R17 on classic IIs for $500, so I couldn't pass that deal up. :rocker:

A 35 inch tall tire will fit in the OEM location on the 97-03's. I've heard of some aftermarket exhaust systems causing problems with this however. All I did was mount mine on my oem 16x7 spare wheel.
