05 super crew lariat 4x4 on 18's taller tire wanted

need some direction on my new 2005 Super crew lariat....

I want to keep the stock ride but level the front and put taller tires
on the stock alloy wheels....

P275/65R 18 came on the truck dealer tells me the wheels are 18x7.5

Local shop recommends BDS level kit 2"

Wanted to put Pro Comp Extreme AT's but all look to big for the rims....
A good size would be P285/70R 18 if I could find some AT tires...

Yeah, put a leveling kit on there, I assume it is a 4x4 since you say it has 275/65/18 stockers...anyway the most popular leveling kit is the autospring 2 or 2.5'' whichever you choose and put some 285/65/18 or 305/65/18's on there.

What tire would you recommend in those sizes?
Will they fit OK on the factory 18x7.5 wheels?

It is a 4x4 with the 5.4L with Flowmaster50....nice ruck.

I don't want to make is a rock climber (have the YJ for that) but would
like to have a tire that would work off the pavement.

Thanks!

Several members have fit 35x12.50's using a leveling kit and the oem wheels on 04-08 4x4's.

Looks great....

Only a 2" level and you fit 305/65/18 on the stock 18x7.5 rims any triming to
the black plastic piece under the bumper..... can you shoot some pics of what triming you did if any ?

I can't wait to get mine up with new big shoes....................!

Well I had the 305/65/18 BFG AT's 34x12 tires on the truck but I traded them in for 35x12.5 BFG mud terrains. One group of photos in my gallery are of the all terrains and the most recent photos are of the new 35's. I have zero rubbing and I had to trim nothing. I would recommend this setup to anyone. But some members have mentioned a little rub at full lock but I do not have any. All trucks are not a like but for mine I have zero rubbing issues. Hope this helps let me know if you have anymore questions.

Your truck looks exactly how I want mine to look. 35 BFG M/T's and all!!!

What levelling kit did you use????

I have heard some good things about the one from Hell Bent.

The stock wheels look a lot better with big meat on 'em!!

I have the 2" auto spring leveling kit, I ordered it off ebay I think it was like 82 dollars with free shipping. Got an alignment shop to put in on and align it for 140 bucks, makes the truck look a 10 times better for 222 bucks you cant beat it, I got the 2" and not the 2.5" cause I was worried about the angles, butI really think either one is ok, but as you can see the truck almost sits level so you should be happy with either one. I have had the leveling kit for more than 15,000 miles with zero problems. I hope this helps and feel free to ask if you have anymore questions.
