Cleaning wheels (brake residue) NEED HELp

I have some 20" chrome mazzi hulks and on my front wheels there is all kinds of stuff on the wheels. Kinda favors a rust look that i cant wash off with my hand. Im guessing it is something that my brakes left behind but i CANNOT get it off. My back wheels are fine. Is there something i can use to get this mess off. Its not rust or nuthin but something that favors that look. I have been freaking SCRUBBIN and it aint comin off. Any Recommendations or tips.

Try diluting some Simple Green with water and try it on a small area first to see what results you get. You may also want to post this in the Care & Detailing section as well.

There is a chrome cleaner that comes in a can. It is saturated cotton that you tear off and use to scrub. Works great, called Nevr-Dull.

Times 2 on the Never Dull. To provide a small level of protection, Mother's makes a chrome polish. The Mother's polish will keep the brake dust away for a few wash jobs, but must be reused about once a month. The Never Dull is fairly effective, but doesn't provide any protection. You may have to use the Never Dull first on tuff cases. BTW, the Never Dull works on all metals - not just chrome.

After you get them clean put a coat of synthetic wax on your wheels. It will make it a lot easier to clean.

Try the mister clean eraser. They make one for automotive chores. Really tough residue might take one eraser per wheel, but it works great. It does take a little elbow grease.
