Turd!!!!

Hey someone give me some help. I pulled my boat this weekend for the first time since the new tires and wheels and leveling kit, and wow its such a turd. It never was like that I need to get some power back. What can I do?

Well since I am the first to respond I guess this was addressed to me.

When was the last time you did a tuneup? Fuel filter change?

Yeah this truck is barely a year old. I have not done a tuneup or replace fuel filter yet.

Are the tires/wheels you got now alot bigger/heavier than stock? You may need to re-rear or maybe reprogram shift points. I don't know how many miles you've put on the truck in 1 yr, but a fuel filter change is probably overdue. You shouldn't need a "tune up" as far as plugs, wires (what wires!?) but mostly just filters and fluids.

Power

What performance mods have you done?

Sounds like you might need three basic performance additions:

1. Cold Air Intake. I did an AEM Brute Force with Dry Flow Filter.

2. Programmer. I did the Edge Evolution, which enabled me to adjust for my larger tire size. I switch to towing mode when I've got my bass boat behind me and it helps. It's not the fix-all, but it helps. My truck became a bit of a turd too with bigger tires and leveling kit.

3. Catback Exhaust. I did a Magnaflow boxed kit, single side exit.

I see that you're in Kentucky too. Cool. :rocker:

Gears. You can spend a bunch of money on a good tune, exhaust, intake, etc... but none of those (or even all of those together) will get you what the proper set of gears will..

Agree'd. Gears.
