Lug Nuts Quick Help!

Hey I'm just ordering my tires and wheels right now, and it has the options of :
# Don't Forget Your Lug Nuts
# For style, stability, and security, replacing stock lug nuts is highly recommended when purchasing new wheels and/or tires.
# These high quality chrome lug nuts are specially priced and fitted to your tires and/or wheels.

It is 50 more bucks? Should I do it?

I'm getting Helo maxx6 in chrome, should I get new lug nuts? I have a 2003 f150

It depends. The OE lug nuts are covered by a center cap. If the new wheels have a center cap that covers the lug nuts and the wheels use the same style lug nut, it is a waste of money to buy new. If the lug nuts are in view or require a different type, then yes get them.

I agree.

ok thanks guys, I'm going to go ahead and get the new lug nuts. Is 50 bucks a good deal for a set of chrome lug nuts for all 4 wheels?

Unfortunately I'm going to have to get some locking lug nuts due to occasional trips to LA that way no one can steal my wheels and tires!

You'll have to get new lugs. The OE wheels are hub-centric and use a flat washer that is covered by the center cap anyway. The new Helo's are lug centric and use a tapered acorn style lug. Be sure to post up some pics when you get them! I just bought a set of Moto Metals and was really torn between those and the Maxx 6!

So Since its labor day weekend, unfortunately I wasn't able to order my wheels and tires yet. (ordered my fabtech 7.5" lift :D :D )

I have been second guessing myself on which wheels to get. I want chrome, and I'm torn between these three.

What are your opinions?

Also, has anyone out there seen ProComps new knight chrome. I think it looks pretty awesome, but I'm not gonna get it.

I just put a set of MM 956's on my truck. You see the 951's everywhere, but I've never seen (in person) another set of 956's. I went with them for that reason..
