Fitting the right tires
I am looking for the largest tire for my truck, I have a 2 in lift/leveling kit on it and I just got my 16 x 8 in rims in. What would the largest tire that will fit on it? I was thinking a 33x10.5x16. Is there one larger that I can fit?

Do you have a 4x4 or 4x2? Since you mentioned a 2 inch leveling kit, I assume it's a 4x2. You should be able to fit 285/75-16's (33x11.50) or 305/70-16's (33x12.50) as long as the wheels don't have a weird backspacing.

If it is a 4x4, you can crank the tbars for the leveling.

I was interested in buying a set of wheels/tires (18" Moto Metals with 35" tires) from another member but wasn't really sure if they 35" would fit on my truck with just my leveling kit. I didn't really want to lift it any so if that won't work then that's not gonna work. Thanks

I have also been wondering about this.
I have an 1998 4x4 F-150 and I'm thinking of 20" rims with big tires, i just don't know how big without lifting the truck. The torsion crank trick may be considered. So: Anyone know how big wheels i may fit? Also what kind of backspacing etc. should the rims be? -Kjartan |
305/55-20's (33x12.50-20) on a 10 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing.

Or will it fit a complete stock truck? Does anyone have pictures of this? Lots of questions here :) -Keltic |
You will have to trim a little plastic off the front bumper's lower valance.
