Largest tire with stock parts 2004 F150 fx4
Hi,
I currently have a 2004 Ford F-150 FX4, 5.4 L, all Stock. Current tire is stock 255/70R17. Its time for new tires. What is the biggest tire i can get with out changing anything? Can i get 31's or 33's or only the stock tire is possible. I want no rubbing, damage, etc... Also i am probably going with firestone, Bridgestone, or Goodyear since they are right around the corner. :smoke: |
man, you can fit 33s easy...and if ya wanna pay 90 more bucks and get a leveling kit you can fit 35's...

Leveling Kit
Where do i get a leveling kit, and who installs it
|
search Ebay for an Autospring Leveling kit for your truck model. They have a 2" and a 2.5" inch.
You can either put it on yourself (search the forum...theres a bunch of people on here who did it themselves)...or usually any tire center can put them on... |
Most service centers in my area charge around $250, that includes the leveling kit, installation, and front end alignment.

You can go with a 285x70x17 or a 295x70x17 with no clearance problems stock, even though leveled out will look a lot better.

I agree. You can also use a 305/65-17 (33x12.50).

i say just go ahead and spend the extra money and get a leveling kit on there. You will love it. I just did it to my 05 and put 35" Toyo M/Ts on it. Looks GREAT now
