2001 supercrew parking brake wire
 

Im installing a new dvd player that needs a wire connected to the parking brake so it will only play when it is grounded to the parking brake. I have been told to splice this to the parking brake wire, someone said it is green wiht a red strip.

Where exactly is the parking brake wire?

grounded to the parking brake wire??? why cant you ground it to something else??. do you mean the wire that turns on the dash light when parking brake is on???

yeah, i called hte tech support at jensen and they suggexted i splice it into the parking brake wife, I guess it would be the wire that turns teh dash light on.

i would think it would be easier to spile into something else. go to the radio forum, those guys live and breathe audio stuff. im sure they can give more suggestions.

Yeah , that's strange. Personally , I think the best place is the designated grounds in the cab behind both kick panels , like here -

BTW - The wire you asked about before is Light blue w/white stripe on my truck. :thumbsup:
