35-12.5 on Stock 17's????

Sorry if this post repeats older posts, but I just wanted to make sure. I have an 07 Supercrew F150 and I am putting a 2.5" Autospring leveling kit and a 1.5" Autospring add a leaf kit on. I have come to the conclusion that I can fit 35" tires and I would like to go with the Pro Comp Extreme AT 35-12.5-R17. However I have found that these tires are for 8"-12" wide rims and my stock 17" rims are only 7.5"s wide. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with a tire this wide on a rim this wide and if it can be done. Any help would be great, thanks.

If your truck is a 4x4 with the 2 1/2" kit they will fit on the stock wheels or aftermarket wheels with close to stock specs. I have 17x8's with 5.5 Backspacing and my tires clear with no rubbing. 315x70x17 BFG's (35x12.5x17)

A lot of guy's run 12.5 wide tires on 7.5 stock wheels. Maybe not the best for the tires but it can be done. Also may cause tires to rub on the control arms when turning hard.

I did it only because I couldn't find a deal on 35x12.5x18 for my stock rims.

No problems what so ever.
