24's on mud tires
FINALLY GOT THE WHEELS IN AND MOUNTED THEM UP TODAY
24" KMC Dime on Kumho RV 37x14 R24 Only thing i regret is that i wish i would have ordered the 38's i would have plenty of room to clear them.... Tom. i need to paint the calipers and put some 1/4 wheel spacers on....the wheels have a horrible offset... i can't even fit my finger between the tire and the nuckle... ps...those 20's on 35" mud grapplers are for sale.. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y73..._Wheels017.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y73..._Wheels019.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y73..._Wheels014.jpg |
Hmm... well i am just another opinion... But I like the older look better... more meat on the tires... but that's just me... Nice truck btw

Same here. Too much rim, too much lift with too small of tires IMO. Still a nice truck not my style though.

Looks great! I really dig that look. The wheels and the tread pattern are what is or should be the points that attract and appeal to the eye. I can't figure out what's so attractive about sidewall, and if that is what is attractive to some people, you're in luck. You can get great looking 15 inch wheels and put your money on huge tires. You could afford some big ole balloon tires and be rollin like you want to. I personally don't find a bunch of sidewall that attractive.
You did very good. Good taste and nice looking set up. |
Looks good, but I too am old school - tire is lighter than wheel and when you are off road, sidewall protects wheel from damage. Between those two things, my preference for about 50% wheel/50% tire (36 on 18s) is the right visual. But overall, I like the look and as long as you love it, that's really the point - we do this for ourselves, not for everyone else. :D
One other thing, you really have (visually) the right tire diameter, it looks like it could tuck into the well. A bigger tire would look like you couldn't flex if your life depended on it. |
Nice bro. Looks good.
|
yea i spend about 99.9 percent of the time one the road...side wall doesn't mean a D$mn to me.
|
Very nice, very unique.

I've never saw that done before but an very impressed. good looking truck... way to be different!

So you dont think It would have been a problem to run 38's and have no rubbing? What is your lift set-up? I'm thinking 6" fabtech with a 3" body?
|
yea fabtech 6" w/ dirt logic coils (not turned up) with a 3" body....38's would have easily fit...the only problem im having is that the tires rub in the rear on the parking brake cable...so i need to find a 1/4 wheel spacer but I CANT. i went to 2 local wheel shops and they gave me two different spacers and neither would fit...any have 1/4" wheel spacers?
