17" 04 rims fit 05 ?

A friend wants to buy my 04 stock fx4 wheels for his 05 f150 xl. I've read of brake issues with 17" wheels after 2004. Will they work?

They will fit no problems

The brake issue is for aftermarket wheels, not OE.
