04 XLT Lariat 4x4 super crew / BFG AT KO max size help needed

Hello,

I have searched on this forum before posting, but decided I had to post my question. I have a 2004 F150 XLT 4x4 Lariat super crew and the stock tires are done. I want to put on BFG AT KO's on, but my local tire shop said they didn't make one that fit.

I went to the BFG site, and found this tire that looked close.. what's the largest BFG AT KO I can get under my truck with stock rims / suspension?

LT285/65R18/E 125R RWL 67553 8 - 10 11.5 on 8.5 32.7 diameter

any and all assistance greatly appreciated... Photos appreciated too...

285/65/18 with no problems, the tire guys always tell you what their computer says, 285's no prob, 305's or 35's on stock rims with a leveling kit. If they are like those tires wont fit tell them I know put them on anyway, plenty of people here run the 285's without any mods, you should be fine.

Thanks, so a 305 is too big unless I have a leveling kit, right?

Thanks for your assistance.. What does a leveling kit cost? I probably don't need it.... I actually need a F250 crew cab 4x4 with a diesel...

If you add a leveling kit, you can fit a 35x12.50 using your OEM wheels. BFG just started making a 305/70-18 which is a 34x12.50-18 tire. It will fit with a leveling kit for sure, but it will be close without one.

I looked at the BFG site and I didn't see anything about a 305/70/18. Can you give some more info on this size? I find 305/65/18 and 325/65/18 but that is it.

Sorry about the typo, it's 305/65-18.
