305/55/20 vs 285/65/20

I have an 07 black 4x4 super crew and just ordered an AS 2" leveling kit. I want to keep my stock 20s because I really like the way they look. Ive narrowed it down to Nitto TGs 305/55/20 or BFG 285/65/20. The Nittos are about an inch wider but about an inch shorter. I was just wondering what you guys thought would be the best looking set up. Any pictures would be great. Thanks

I'd go with the taller tire. I like a little more sidewall, but that's just me. Yours is a 4x4, so IMO the meatier tire is a better look.

Plus, they are BFG AT's, which look and perform second to none in all-around usage.

Look around this site. A few guys have that tire. "Nebraska" is one guy I can recall with those tires, albeit on aftermarket wheels.

DCinMI,
I was originally going with the tires you have, but the guy I was getting them from traded them off his superduty for some thing different.

Sorry, I confused you with Dog 'Em I think. He's from the state that bears your screen name, right? Too confusing for a plebian like me!

Wide tires tend to look bigger than they really are - I like wide tires... although my rule of thumb is the tire should be twice the height of the rim - 20" rim = 40" tire... just a thought!
