biggest tires?

what are the biggest tires i can fit on stock wheels for a 2004 f150 screw fx4? what about with the leveling kit and maybe aftermarket wheels?

285/65-18 work fine, some are trying the 305/65-18's, but you might need a level for that. You can use the search feature to look up the answers to the other parts of your question. It's been answered several times on the board already.

I have 285/65 bfg at's on my 04 fx4 and I really like them. I havn't put a leveling kit on it yet but i've been thinking about it lately. They won't rub a bit on your stock truck either and look great.

If you add a leveling kit and keep the OEM wheels you can fit a 35x12.50.

i am planning on adding the leveling kit. Do you think 305 would fit on there no problem then?

A 305/70-17 or 305/65-18 would also fit. They are both basically 34x12.50 tires.

Wandell, I also have a 2004 F150 FX4 w/leveling kit. Can I run a 325/60/18 on the stock FX4 rims? Just what is this tire comparable to in height and width in inches? Could I go bigger without rubbing?
Thanks for your :help:

If I remember correctly those stock rims are only 7 1/2 inches wide. Most manufacturers will not recommend putting tires that are 12 inches wide on that size rim from what I have seen. I replaced my wheels and tires and currently run a 305/55R20 with the leveling kit and they have no rubbing problems. Don't know if this helps but I thought I would add my .02.:fyi:

A 325/60-18 is basically a 33x13.00-18 tire. That is a little too wide for a 7.5 inch wide wheel, but some members have done it.

Thanks, Wandell! I'll wait until I get my wheels then.
