20's on 35 inch mud grapplers

ok i was looking at getting 20 inch eagle alloys 114 that are polished
( http://www.aewheel.com/eagle_alloy_wheels.cfm?id=253 ) on some 35 inch nitto mud grapplers.
how do you guys think it would look?? are the rims to big??

I think those rims are great and 20's would be ok with 35's I think. I like the look of more sidewall...makes the tire look bigger. If you ran 33's with 20's it wouldnt have the same effect. Plenty of guys here running 20's with 35's it all what YOU like. Dont think you could go wrong with those rims though. I'm putting 35's on my factory 18's.

I think they will look fine. I would not go smaller than a 35 inch tire with 20's personally.

It should look great  I love those Eagle 114's just about went that route myself. If you can swing the price difference or wait and save up, I'd go with the chrome finish. I've had two sets of polished rims in the past and what a pain in the rear to take care of. Can't wait to see some pics.

thanks, can anyone tell me if polished rims are shiney or dull??? cause i don't really want anything that is really dull..

I know next to nothing about eagle.....but i do know polished wheels can be a potential nightmare to keep clean.....especially if you live in an environment with snow, hence salted and chemicals on the road, and plan on using the rims year round...

you need to find out if the rims are clearcoated....

if they are, they will be dull next to a chrome rim...also, clearcoated polished rims can sometimes have a yellowish hue to them.

if they are not clearcoated they will be pretty shiny...but then you're looking at a nightmare if you're not in a warm climate...or are not planning on swapping for winter...

Well i live in Texas so the cold or snow isn't a big deal and how would i find out if these rims are clearcoated or not??? thanks

Unless someone here owns em and knows for sure... call the manufacturer or call a local place that sells em....

If your wheel aren't going to see adverse chemicals and salts.....you'll most likely be fine without clearcoat...and again, they'll definately have more shine than ones that are....

if your stuck on polished...go for ones that aren't clearcoated... just my .02

Eagle wheels are not clearcoated. THey are bare polished aluminum. They require regular polishing to keep them shiney.

Thanks everyone for the advice, but the polished wheels just seem like to much work to keep clean. So i have decided to go with the mazzi hulk knock-offs in 18 inch crome and mud grapplers.
