Spare tire w/ New 33''s?

Hey guys

im going from 235/70/17 to 295/70/17 on my 2wd. does this mean i need to replace my spare with a 33'' as well? or will the smaller spare work as a temporary solution if i ever need it? (the spare is also 235/70/17)

Thanks

I think you will be fine. Some people don't think it's a good idea to mount two different height tires on the rear if you have a limited slip rear, but every muscle car I owned came with a mini-spare.

cool, ive heard a few things such as if i get a flat in the back, swap out a front wheel and use the spare in the front... does that make a difference?

Like I said, the concern is the rear limited slip differential. Some people say running two different height tires will burn up the LS and suggest putting the small tire on the front.

On my Detroit locker rear, other car not truck, it advises not to have 2 different sizes, but that's a locker. You and me should be cool!
