hummer tires

Anyone here ever use Hummer tires? There is a shop around here that I hear has brand new 36-xxx-16 tires for about $80 brand new. How do they wear on road and how is the road noise?

hummer tires come stock with bfgs that run any where from 170-250 per tire. The bfgs are also one of the best at tires on the market so i would say go you it. I only got about 40000 miles on my old set but thats on some old country roads, others have said to get as much as high 50s through 60000.

BFGoodrich all terrains are awesome. i had a set on my old truck and as soon as my current factory run down....I'll buy some BFG All-terrains, even though I'll likely drop near a grand for these tires.

I too have been very satisfied with my BFG AT KO's I got a set of LT285/70/17 (about 33" tires) Only have about 3K miles on em but the road noise is not bad at all IMO. Great in snow, slush and over all handling.

Since he said 36 inch tires, he may be talking about the bias ply Goodyears from military Hummers. From what I've read, they are ok off road but perform poorly on the highway.

H2s come with 17s, not sure about h1 and h3.

im pretty sure he is talking about the H1 tires as well guys, and i herd the same thing, one of my budies had an H1, but you couldnt really tell about the tires because the thing was loud already, it being a deisel. i would say stick with something else.

Spent 21 years USMC. There is a reason those tires are for sale at $80.00 a piece. Great off road, loisy street manners. If I had a hunting buggy that never went on the road, it would be a good buy. But I wouldn't recommend them for anything else. Just my .02.

They more than likely arent military tires because the standard size on a HUMV is a 37 12.50 and every tire that I ever saw was made by Good Year.
I would say check the tread wear and make sure they aren't dry rotted and if they look good to go, get em cause thats really cheap.
