20's on a 4x4

i have a 97 4x4 4.6 v8 3.55 gears and a m5r2 tranny. i have over 140,000 (hard) miles on it and i want to take it out of duty and retire it to street use. right now i have a set of MHT 16 x 8 wheels with 285/75/16 rubber and was thinking about going to a 20 in wheel and trie combo. my questions are a follows:
What size tire would best match the same circumfrence i already have?
Would the larger wheels play havoc on the bearings and the rest of the drive train?
And would i be able to get a good all terrian tire (for the occasional dirt road and snow fall) in the size that i would need.
and i would welcome any other pro's or con's concerning this subject.
thanks in advance.

BFG makes the AT KO in 285/55-20 (I believe that's correct) that is the same height and width as your 285/75-16's (33x11.50). The Nitto Terra Grappler and Toyo Open Country AT are both available in 305/55-20 which are a 33x12.50-20. The additional weight will increase wear and tear some, but very, very little.
