F250 Tires on a F150 S'crew
I found a great deal from my cousin on some new F250 tires for my 2001 F150 Screw. They should fit my wheels (17 inch) with no problems but think I will have a real Rough and Lousy ride unless I ride with less tire pressure than the "80" Lbs psi max that the F250 tire calls for, I am guessing about 50 to 60 psi would be good. I have the stock steel chrome spoke wheels, someone told me to make sure the wheels will hold the higher air pressure and to install heavy duty valve stems, will my stocker wheels work out ok?? Any input will help, thanks. The more I write the more this sounds like a bad idea.

The wheels should hold up just fine.
As for the PSI, you dont want to run the MAX PSI unless you are towing heavy loads. For daily driving you'll keep the PSI lower than that. I cant say what PSI you should run without knowing what tires and what load range, but it sounds like you have a good starting place if they are indeed D or E range tires.

80 psi is crazy....I have BFG RT T/A on my F-150, this is the standard tire on the F-250 and my truck rides, hauls, cornors like it was on rails, I run my tires ( 10 ply ) at 55 psi and if I haul, I bump tires up to 65 Psi, empty, at 65 Psi, Truck rides like a lumber wagon, at 55 psi, first commemt applies.
