BFG MT or Toyo MT....

hey guys, im getting ready to purchase a body lift as well as tires, i allready have the rims on my 05 f150 SC but i need some lift and tires.

Anyway, which tires would you guys recomend, i dont do that much off road driving but i like the look of the MT tires, I do hunt so the tires wont go un used, they will see some nasty mud, but that is only durring hunting season..so with that said, which tire would you recomend, im looking for longevity as well as a quiet ride.

Thanks Brothers...

Both are excellent tires. The Toyo's are supposed to be quieter on the highway than the BFG's. You can't go wrong with either.

BFG MT in my opinion

this is my first set of mud's ever, so I don't have much of a comparison at all, but I do love my Toyos- ive got about 6500 miles on them to date and they've seen it all, conquered all. so my votes the Toyo MT- they're super quiet, ride well, and aren't showing much wear at all.

Does the Toyo have steel sidewalls?

thanks for all the replys guys, but im actually not going to go with the BFG or the TOYO, im going to go with a procomp Xtreem AT (325 65 18 on helo max 6 with my 2.5 leveling kit) i have been doing some research, im hoping that since these tires measure an overall diameter of 34.6" they will fit with minor triming...

BFG ALL THE WAY. i'VE GOT ABOUT 40,000 MILES ON MY MUD TERRAIN AND THERE IS STILL PLENTY OF TREAD LEFT. tHEY ALSO SOUND GREAT GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY.

I like the TOYO due to their quieter ride. But the BFG's have been rated as the best mud terrain for a long time. I bought the toyo, but If i got the BFG's I would definitely SIPE them. I believe either one is GREAT.

I have these....and I LOVE them. Quite ride, turn easy, great traction for highway, mud, or snow.

The Cooper tires have NO steel belts?

ian51279 12-03-2005 01:05 AM

Correct me if I am wrong but I think that those particular Coopers are a Bias-Ply tire. They make another tire by the same name but it has radial in the name.
