Nitto Terra Grappler-Opinions&What Size?

Finally time to get rid of my Wrangler RTS's (265/70R17). Treads OK but I cannot live with the cupping anymore. The Nitto Grappler has caught my attention. My question is what size. They have a P265/70R17 (Same as stock) which go for about $134/each and they have LT295/70/R17 which go for about $180/each. Looking at the website, the 295's are about a 1 1/4" wider and 1.5" taller. Is the extra beef and LT vs P rating worth the extra $200 bucks? I put about 8000 miles a year on my truck and rarely go off trail.

Bigger is always better!! I can't remember if it is the Terra Grappler or the Toyo Open Country AT that is available in 285/70-17, which is approximately a 33x11.50. The two tires are almost identical. Both are great tires.

I'm looking at the 295 nittos as well. I just don't think the 265 will look as good on the 04. If the Toyos are similar in design and cost the 285 would be good too. Depends on what kind of deal you can get on them at the time.

Fwiw

About two weeks ago I inquired about the Toyo's in a 285/70/17. They have been on national backorder since LAST November! The Nitto's seem to be readily available though...(in the 295/70/17)

I have the Nitto TGs in 285/65/16 to replace the stock 17s on my 03 Screw. Love these tires! They are very beefy looking, ride extremely well, and are pretty damn quiet for a tire with this beefy a tread pattern. I'd highly recomend them to anyone who was thinking of getting into a set.

I got mine off Ebay via Discount Tire Direct. I think I paid somewhere around $525 shipped...
