drum brakes on a 97 4x4 with abs ????
I noticed I have drum brakes on my 97 4x4 4.6liter. Do these trucks all have, or come with drums as a down grade option. I have ABS so is this possible. The original ownwer put a different rear end on, please help

Drums were standard across the board early in the '97 model year. I believe 4 wheel discs became an option on the XLT and Lariat near the end of '96 for the '97 model year.

I had a '97 Expi...XLT 4x4,AWD that had 4 wheel disc. But I don't know what the production date was.

My '97 4.6L has ABS and it has Drums in the rear.
