American Racing wheels....TEFLON...???

Has anyone else seen the American Racing Wheels Teflon-coated option? I'm kicking around the idea of smaller rims and larger tires, and came across this option of Teflon coated rims.

Curious to know if anyone has any experience with them (seen or installed).

i know a kid who had them on a white lifted 250. They looked ok in my opinion but i like shiny metal. If you like the black look you will love them. they were great for when he went mudding all he had to do was run a hose on them and they were clean.

The only thing I would be worried about is what they look like after a while. Have you ever looked at the non-stick surface of a teflon coated fry pan after 2 years. And that is with using all plastic utensils. With rocks, gravel, and other debris, I'm not sure the wheels will look to good after a short amount of time.

I'm running the Victor series teflon coated. I really like them. They're more of a really dark grey. They clean up very easily and still look good, I've had them for about 8 months. Check my gallery for some pics

Thanks for the replies...I do like black rims on a truck (especially on AZ beige). I'm not planning on a major lift, probably just front "leveling" kit and more aggressive tires.

I've heard from others that the Teflon coating makes cleaning of fmud a snap...not bad for a guy who lives on a farm off a gravel road As for Teflon coated pots and pans--they go through extreme temperatures that I hope my tires won't (i.e. NO FIRES!! )

I don't know about you, but I like the look:
