i have a 2000 f150 extd.cab/4.2v6/5spd. as of now i have 265/75/16 remington mud btutes. i want to know what is the biggest tire i can fit if i install a 3 inche bodylift and a leveling kit. and also what gears would i need. even after getting the 265's the truck feels like it has lost alot of power. any comments are appreciated.

 

If it's a 4x4, you can clear 35x12.50's. Since you have a V6, I'd go with 4.88 gears.

 

i forgot to mention its a 4x2, i wish it was a 4x4. lol

 

If you go with a set of coil spring spacers, or lift coils and a body lift, you can probably still clear 35x12.50's, but it will be tight. I'd stick with 33's if I were you.

 

thats what i was thinking. if i put a 33x12.50 what gears would i need? also can i fit those on a 16x8 rim?

 

Yeah, you can fit 33x12.50's on an 8 to 10 inch wide wheel. I'd go with 4.56's with 33 inch tires, just because you have a V6.
