HEY WANDELL, I got a ?
Hey I was wondering what the biggest size tires I could get without a lift. I dont want to pay like 600 to get the lift on and then raise up the bumper so that big space isnt there. But what is the biggest size tires can i get w/o a lift? in both ???/??R17 ??x??R17 in both ways, thanks

If you keep the stock wheels and crank up the torsion bars, you can fit a 315/70-17 (35x12.50). However, this is an extremely tight fit and the secret appears to be using the stock 17x7.5 inch wheels. Personally, I wouldn't go that big unless you plan on a lift in the future. I think you would be better off staying with a 285/70-17 (33x11.50) or a 33x12.50-17. That way, if you choose to go to a wider aftermarket wheel in the future you can do it without a lift.

The wheels that i have now are aftermarket wheels so they are 16, they are 17s but i dont know how wide they are. So when i get new tires, i just tell them to crank up the torsion bars? How high do I crank them? And i can fit 33x12.50R17 without a lift? and 33x12.5R17 is the same as 285/75R17 right?

Cranking up the torsion bars will work, but it makes for a rough ride. You can goto www.central4wd.com they have a torsion leveling kit for your truck which is just 2 new torsion keys that are cut different so that they will lift your truck 1 1/2" while maintaining the factory ride, they're easy to swap in. I have them on my 2002 F150 Supercrew FX4 and the 305/45/22" Cooper XST's are 32.8 inches tall, they don't look that tall in my gallery pics, but they are, and they don't hit anywhere even with the 22x9.5" rims. The new torsion keys are about $120, but worth every penny if you want to keep the factory ride. Just an option.
