This may be a dumb question but here goes....I have the stock 10 spoke ford wheel 17x7.5 on my truck right now with BFG KO 315/70/17s and it fits without any rubbing at the front running boards when the wheels are turned. If I switch to say a Helo Maxx6 17x9 with the same tire even though the wheel is 1.5" wider the tire is still a 12.5" so will the tire itself stick out further possbily causing a rub on the running board? Seems like it wouldn't because the tire is still the same width and the back spacing is the same as the factory wheel I believe 4.5".....

Also I saw a photoshop of a white SupreCrew with the BLack Helos on it but now I can't seem to find it... Can anyone point me in the right direction. What's your guys opinions on black wheels on a white truck

 

Yeah, it's gonna rub. The wheel is wider and this will push the tire outward somewhat.

 

Guess I have to stick with my stock wheels then. Man I think those black helos are freakin sharp......I think they make a 17X8 but I can't seem to find any info about them. I can't even find Helos web site

 

Just add a 3 inch body lift!

 

Won't fit in the garage.....Do you have any suggestions of something similar that would fit under my truck without a lift?????
