7 lug wheels
American Racing finally made some, But I am not sure if any more are available. I spent the last six months trying to get 7 lug wheels, and although there are those that will tell you various companies make them, it turns out they list them but have none in stock and have not made them in years.
As for the American Racing wheels, I bought five, and another guy in Albany got a full set as well. To my knowledge they only made five sets, so you may want to give rob a call at (315) 788-6840 and check to see if the other threee sets are sold or any are still available.
Hope that this helps.

7 lug wheels
Custom drilled to fit the truck? Are the wheels rated for the loads that the truck will haul? I know that tires are rated, and for mine the minimum is d-rated tires, and from what I have seen, wheels are also rated for load carrying capacity. If you get wheels drilled to fit, make sure thay are rated for the loads that you will have on the HD version of the truck.

The F150HD and the F250Light are the same with the stupid 7 lug thing.
I had a customer that had me replace his front hubs/spindles and rear axles with F150 stuff so he could have the 6 lug. They are the same diameter, so everything worked out fine. Now he has an awesome set of wheels and tires.

change to 6 lug?
Why would you make that change? If he did not need the load carrying capacity etc why even get the HD version? Just buy a f-150. I actually use my truck and had the regular f-150 before. Got tired of cracking rims, and having the frame sit on the axel when loaded. I did not want an f-250 so got the 8200 GVWR. If you are not going to use the truck, just trade it insted of changing out the axels and spindals etc.
I have a NICE set of wheels and tires with the 7 bolt pattern.

I just do what the customers ask me to.
You crack 16" wheels and set the axles on the frame 92VMAX???
You need a super duty, not a F250.
Every time an axle is overloaded the axles themselves crystalize. If you are on your stops, it is overloaded by at least 30%. The axles are just waiting to shear. Maybe not today, or maybe even tomorrow. But they will shear off. When you sell it will you tell the new owner that you did this. It is a very serrious hazzard. A pot hole, or light curb rub may shear those axles right off.
It reminds me of a friend of mine that in high school used to bost of putting 2 tons in his half ton. A year later, after the fact he had to replace the whole rear end. He also used to change his oil every two years, whether it needed it or not.
Glad I didn't buy my truck from you.

F150 overloaded
Yes, my 02 did get overloaded and could not handle the work I got it for. My Heavy duty Ranger had a higher maximum payload than the 02 F-150. What a joke. So I traded the 02 back to the dealer instead of Adding heavier springs, which would have only made it sit nicer but like you stated help the axel or springs. Now I have the 8200 GVWR f-150 and do load it up to #3000 at times, but that does not site on the stops and is rated for that as well.
By Doing what that customer asked without warning him of the potential for damage you also put his life or a future buyer at risk since the new combination cannot handle what the truck was actually designed for. The truck springs can handle a 2,000 or 3,000 load but the axels are not even close to taking that, so it will look good until he loads it and what you stated happens to him. Would'nt you be liable. Nothing personal but I would not have done that to his truck any more than you would have bought my old 02. Just a dumb idea. (That is why I upgraded trucks so as not to overload)
