Chamber/Caster Bolt Kit Also on Suspension
I just got new 285/70/17 BF A/T, when my front alignment was completed they said they could not adjust the front perfect unless I bought an optional Chamber/Caster Bolt Kit.
Anyone know what this is for? Why Ford did not install these originally? Thanks Chris |
The camber kits are available at auto parts stores like NAPA. I think they are around $40 or so. Why Ford didn't install them is a good question.

Do you know what they are for

Uhh, to adjust the caster and chamber of the front wheels?!
When Ford builds the truck they install fixed alignment shims. The C/C kit allows mechanics to move the upper A arm around to align the wheel. Fritz |
Exactly.

Instructions
Can someone be so kind as to post instructions for installing these bolts on a 03 F150 4x4. The local shop wanted $292 to do it and I bought the kit for $55. I figure I can muddle my way through it or talk to you experts to do it the right way first. Any help you give is already appreciated.
J Ps. The kit contains 4 bolts (one flat side) 8 small washers (round middles) and 8 large washers (shape of bolt- or the shape of a D) in them. |
