can i fit 285/75R16's on my truck?
 

I own a 2002 Ford f150. It is 2wd Flareside I looked into putting a 3" body lift on it but it seems like too much work.

I want to run 285/75r16 on my truck, right now I have 265's on there. It seems like the rear will fit 285's without rubbing but the front looks a little tight.

I was wondering if I put coil spring spacers in the front will I be able to run 285's? Has anyone else had this problem?

I asked a similar question only i have a long box. The 285s will fit on the back and they will fit on the front but it will looked stuffed and rub alitt.e Check out Performance Lifts. for the daystar coil lift about 2 inches. Should be no rubbing problem after that. Ive ordered mine and should be here shortly.

If I remember correctly, a 1"-1.5" lift in front levels it out with the back, so 2" should be plenty to fit 285s if they fit in back. I've been considering both lifting the front and lowering the rear, myself. I'm not sure yet which one I want to do.

But anyway, I just thought I'd post and remind you guys to get new bump stops to prevent bottoming out your taller tires on your front fenders wells. You should add whatever the lift height is to your bump stop height. Just a reminder; I know how easy it is to miss the small stuff.

A bumpstop is a piece of rubber or similar material which limits the upward travel of your suspension components. It's what keeps your tires from rubbing into your fender wells every time you hit a nasty bump.
