Stock 16" wheels?
 

I have the Fx4 wheels on my truck right now, but I am considering going to a stock 16" wheel for more tire choices and better prices. Are the stock 16" ford wheels also 7.5" wide like the 17's or not? Thanks.

The 16's are only 7 inches wide.

The stock 16's are 7" wide, and 17's are 7.5" wide.

The widest tire any tire manufacturers recommend for a 7" wide wheel is 265's. You may want to consider this in your decision.

With 7.5" wide wheel I think its 285's.

Yes, some some guys put wider tires on these wheels/rims ... but that can void all tire warranties. And ... in the event of a tire related accident, one could be held liable for going beyond all tire manufactures recommendations.
