fitting 38's

Hello,
It has been a while since I have been on here. Got a question for all you ford lovers. I have a 97 f150 4wd that I run 37x12.50 tires on with 16.5x9.75 wheels. I recently fell asleep and wrecked the truck into a guard rail smoking both driver side tires. I am going to put knew ones on. I know I can fit a 38x12.50 with no problem cause I have plenty of room. I am wanting to put on 38x14.50 to make the tires sit out a little for a more aggressive look. Can I fit a 14.50 without hitting the spindle. I don't even have a quarter of an inch clearance with the 12.50's. Just thought I would ask. Have a good one.

is your truck a 4x4? if it is i asume you have a 6" susp. and 3" body to fit 37" you might hit the little nup that comes off the lower control arm if you go that wide i had to cut mine off on both sides when i went to 15.5" inch wide 38" i will post some pics so you will better understand

here is what it will look like with 38" i will post some pics of the cutting you will need to do to the lower controll arm when it stops raining here

Thanks for the info. Yes my truck is a 4x4. It has a super lift 4-5 inch lift and a 3 inch body. I know it will fit 38's with ease because the 37's clear with a lot of room. I may just go with the 38x12.50 but I would rather have the tire have a fatter look rather than tall and skinny. Thanks again
