Will 15" rims w/35 BFG's ride?
 

Hey, would anyone know if 15" rims will fit on my 97' F150 4X4 or will something inside rub. Will they even look good with 35" BFG's MT? :confused:

In 97 not only came a new body style but a different bolt pattern for wheels. When Ford moved to the 16 inch wheel the bolt pattern changed also. I'd be kinda surprised if anyone makes a 15 inch rim in that bolt pattern.

Some companies used to make them, but they had to run a very low backspacing which caused problems with premature failure with wheel bearings, steering, brakes, etc. Basically everything on the front end would wear out faster than normal. This caused the wheels to not sell very well so many companies quit making them. If you were to go ahead with this setup your selection will be very limited. Also by the time you factor in the added repairs you will negate the savings gotten by buying 15" wheels over 16s.

If you want some 16s I have both a set of 16x8 and 16x10s I'm selling since I no longer have my F150.

Yeah, that makes since. I have 285/75/16R BFG's AT, which i love, on my stock rims now but i just want to go to 35's MT and some kool rims. Since im in High School, I kinda of want to spend less. But i think ill just go with the 16s.

Ive lifted the front of my truck with my torsion bars the other day and am wandering if the 35's will fit or if i need a 3" body lift, since i dont want to go to suspension beacause of cost?

Well some people will run 35s on stock wheels with no lift and say they don't rub. This isn't a very good idea as the stock wheels are too narrow for a 12.5" wide tire which alot of 35s are. I ran my 35s on 10" wheels with a 3" body lift and I still had some rubbing at first. I had to trim the valance and crank the torsion bars to fix it. I later switched to 8" wheels and I would have had to either trim or crank the torsion bars but not both. For the amount of tires that big (mine cost over $200 ea) IMO its best to invest in the correct wheel width to get your moneys worth out of them. This is in reference to running them on stock wheels, as they may cause strange and premature wear.
