I've been stabilized!
I just installed the Rancho steering stabilizer. i highly reccomend it for anyone running those 33" tires I see posted all over the place. it took all (most) of that bump steer right out. Not a big investment either.

Bump steer? Please expand. Maybe I have a problem I haven't noticed.

Bumpsteer happens primarily when you are running larger tires than stock and are on rough surfaces or off-road and hit a bump with one front wheel which causes steering wheel to move sharpley to one side (may run over a rock or any irregular surface). Stabilizer is in effect a shock absorber mounted horizontily which absorbs impact and prevents sudden movement of steering wheel. Generally provides more stable steering on or off-road. |
HEY! WSECTION I have looked everwhere for a
steering stabilizer where did you find it and how much did it cost??? |
Ron K., that's exactly what it is!
F-trucks: go to http://www.desertrat.com/ they are very helpful. you need to buy a bracket kit and a shock. I went with your basic Rancho RS500 shock and boot. You could get nuts and get an RS9000 or an Edelbrock IAS, but I didn't think it was worth it. I think all together with shipping was about 70. |
THANKS Wsection just thought i would let you know mines on the way! THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!
