Post 17" Tires, Who makes them?

Having close to 48K on my '97 I'm starting to think about new tires. Does anyone make them beside the Good Year Wrangler R/T S? I heard about another company a couple of years ago, but can't remember who it was. Or should I stick w/ Good Year as they obviously last and have been a good overall quiet tire. What about cost, any idea?

Wink

fsunman, where you been all this time?
I been crying about the 17" setup since last week. The 17" setup I got now is a set of AR Atlas with Bridgestone HL 265/70/17 tires which I do not like because it is 2" taller than the 255/70/16. I don't want to mess up my speedo and such. I already ordered a another set of tires BF Goodrich Comp T/A HR4 275/60/17 and sell it or returned the Bridgestone. You're looking at 1300 to 1500 for a descent 17" setup without messing up like I did. hope this helps.steve

MIF-150, The difference is you changed sizes, I have 265/70/17 from the factory because of 4X4 ORP option, but it's good to know that Bridgestone makes them. How is ride quality and noise levels on yours? How aggressive a tread pattern do they have? I live in the "Rust Belt" w/ lots of snow in the winter. Thanks for the info on the Bridgestones.

I'm pretty sure the BFG All Terrains are available in a 17 inch tire that is the same size as the Goodyear Wrangler AT/S tires that come stock with the Off-Road Package.

Thumbs up

Goodyear, BFG, Michelin, Bridgestone are the ones that I know of in a 17". I'm sure there's more, there should be, the 17"s are pretty common now.
