Just curious if it would be possible to put 33 12.5 goodyear mt's a f150 at stock height, planning to lift but want to get the tires on. thanks for any help

Yes. Several members here and at FTW have 305/70-16's (33x12.50) on stock 4x4 F-150's. If you mount them on a 16x10 inch aftermarket rim, you will have to crank up your torsion bars or trim a little plastic off your front bumper's lower plastic valance. I don't think you will have to do this if you mount them on the stock rim or an 8 inch wide aftermarket rim, but they will look better on a 10 inch wide rim in my opinion.

ya i would agree they would look a lot better on a 10 inch rim but just dont have teh money right now so geuss it will have to wait thanks for the help

Brought them in and they wont put them on stock rims, only 7", so looks like i be buying some new ones.

Tires that wide will fit the truck, but may wear prematurely because of ballooning. For the cost of the tires I wouldn't burn them up. Anyway, on the 16x10 it looks like the tire is twice the size of the same tire on a facory rim.

I just bought 33" super swampers and new 10" Rimms for about $1200 Shipped, Mounted, Inflated, and Balaced. Email me if you want to know where I got them..... tjbozarth@yahoo.com

285/75-16 is approximately 33x11.50
295/75-16 is approximately 34x12.00 305/70-16 is approximately 33x12.50 315/75-16 is approximately 35x12.50 Just about every manufacturers website will list the exact height and width of their tires. It will vary very slightly from company to company. Also, tire manufacturers almost always round floatation sizes up to the next number. For example a 33x12.50-15 is really around 32 3/4 inches tall. |
