How long before you changed your tires?

I have almost 45k on mine now and it looks like the tread is still pretty deep. I'm planning to change at 50k because of irregularities do to not rotating (not my fault). So, Im wondering...how many miles have you put on your Goodyear RT/S's?

I changed mine out at 18K, but I guess goin from a v6 to a v8 would be the reason why they didn't last long https://www.f150online.com/f150board/wink.gif

I gave up on my stock Goodyear AP 255's at 38K. Was afraid they would not wear out before I killed myself sliding around on take off in the rain. They still looked like they would maybe go another 8-10K.

I replaced the Wrangler RTS's after 12,000. I replaced them with BFG's 285/75-16 on stock rims. This is what the truck now looks like.

I have 41,000 on my '97 Goodyear RT/S 17 inchers. They still look surprisingly good, maybe for another 20,000 miles. A friend had 75,000 on the same tire (smaller size on a Jeep Cherokee).

I have about 38k on mine now. A good chance of making 45k plus. I rotate every 5 to 6 thousand miles. I'm trucking Goodyear P255/70R-16 OWL. My plans are to go a size wider (60 series)if there's one.

replaced my goodyears somewhere around 46K miles. not much tread left, gravel road ate them up. rear tires were missing chunks of tread. never rotated them either.
have rotated the Cooper's once so far(did not want these!! these tires are impossible to keep clean, always have this funky ring around the rim). Have almost 56K miles now.

I drove the hell out of my old "wilderness" tires. I was upwards of 50k on them. I should've changed them sooner though. I won't wear me new tires down to the level I did the older ones.

Well I almost made it...I was within 2000 miles of getting my RT/S's to last 50,000 miles. On the way to work this morning I was making a left at a stop light...as I went down the road I heard (brump, brump, brump). The whole truck was shaking back and forth. I pulled over and sure enough I was greeted by a nice hunk of metal. Went back down the road to the Goodyear dealer and had all four replaced this morning. On a good note, I did get $20 bucks for the other four...came out to $499 for all four tires, balance and rotation.
